The Kingsway site was an empty corner on a street of Victorian terraces, turned down twice for a taller block in glass. We took a different line: four storeys in red brick, the parapet lined up with the terrace chimneys and the window rhythm taken from the houses opposite.
All twenty eight flats sold before completion.
What we kept
Brick matched to the terraces opposite, and secure cycle storage for every flat in place of a car park.
